Working with labels and claims

How claims are checked, what each status means, and how to fix a rejected claim.

Claims are the statements you want on your packaging. Journey Foods checks each one against your formulation and your market’s rules so you know what you can legally say.

What each claim status means

  • Eligible — your formulation supports this claim and it is ready to use.
  • Needs evidence — the claim is possible, but you need to upload a document to prove it.
  • Not eligible — your current recipe does not meet the threshold for this claim.
  • Approved — the claim has been reviewed and cleared for artwork and export.

Fixing a claim that is not eligible

  1. 1

    Open the claim

Click the claim row to see why it did not pass — for example, the sugar level is above the “no added sugar” threshold.

  2. 2

    Adjust or add evidence

Either update your formulation to meet the threshold, or upload evidence if the requirement is document-based.

  3. 3

    Recheck

The status updates automatically once your change is saved.

Before you print

Only use claims marked Eligible or Approved on real packaging. Anything else has not been verified against your market’s rules.
